so Cubase.net -- I have some questions I want to ask there, so I made an account three days ago -- but I can't post because it says "your account application must be approved..." It's been three days, are they ever going to let me post??
VERY annoying. I imagine some of you here are cubase.net readers / posters? Is this normal? Have I been thrown into account limbo? I just want to ask a few freaking questions! -M |

Either keep waiting or ask here. I would ask here. Lots of great people who can answer just about any question you got. |

Steinberg are really fussy about which e-mail servers they will accept account applications from.
I know they won't accept gmail, as I tried to swap my registered email address with them to a gmail account and they refused. ---- I don't have anything against gravity but it really does weigh me down |

I found that after changing my email listed with them to gmail that I had no working account. they got back to me same day after I asked though, to inform me this was the problem. |

Yeah, took me about 3-5 days to get my email change approved. Strangely picky, as woodster noted. I would second lockon's recommendation: post here first. Responses are quicker and just as good, with tons of Cubase.net users here too. ---- ![]() |

I waited nearly a week to get a "permission to post" there. I was really annoyed about 5.1 update and needed some help/opportunity to rant. I chilled out after a week so I didn't make a post...
I guess it is the way they control the customers anger Despite biased and religious approach of the members there, some of the posts are really useful and there are many knowledgable people. But the bottom line is that I like KVR as it is pure fun |

To me Steinberg approach to everything seems more or less like a remnance from the old DDR. Absolute control freaks.... |

They don't seem to like my Yahoo email either then... They accepted my work email but not this one... Wonder if it has anything to do with ISP's? ---- Barry The man who survived mustard gas and pepper spray is now a seasoned veteran http://www.ambientonline.org/ |

Some sites just won't accept free email accounts. I guess it is their prerogative but if they are going to go to that extreme and want you to also be a verified registered user why don't they just go through the extra effort to tie the user database with the forum database and be done with it. It isn't always simple, but the end result would be what they want and easier for registered users (single sign-in always is). ---- if you are not the underdog/cinderella story, prepare for the KVR haterade |

-M Why don't they accept a gmail account ?? They think that free email accounts like gmail, yahoo etc could be spam accounts. Of course there are obviously way more legit users using them, but apparently that concept is beyond Cubase.net. I gave up on Cubase.net years ago, way too fascist. |
