I agree. I have both Spline EQ and Photosounder and would welcome an email newsletter or even just a simple email announcement when new versions are released. Smile

Is the 4 band one the one in Beat magazine? How much CPU does this use. I've tried so many and been so disappointed. Antress has one in his Modern Plugins thats pretty good.

Alright but would you really want to receive a mail every single time I add something, even minor, knowing that it's gonna be like every month or more? I'm not against doing that, but it's also more things I need to do everytime I release a new update, I have so many sites to post about each update usually I forget at least a couple of them, plus I'm not sure I would be able to make a newsletter that would give you your link to download the full version.

My preferred solution right now would be something so you could get directly to the latest version (and know if your version is the latest) by clicking on the logo, and maybe (if I can figure out a nice way to do it) have the plugin check the version directly.

Yes. According to everyone who's said something about SplineEQ's CPU usage it's one of the lowest.

I wouldn't mind receiving a mail every single time. My production pc isn't connected to the internet, so clicking on the logo wouldn't work for me.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks!

IMO don't waste your time on newsletters...please focus on coding...page to download latest test version is fine Wink
What's the progress on that UI changes...strech display, buttons down?

No I haven't changed the UI yet. I'm in talks to potentially do a special version with certain new features for a certain magazine. Also I'm trying to work out how to build 64-bit Mac VSTs, RTAS builds and standalone app builds all without losing Mac OS 10.4 support and PowerPC support.

And everybody else seems to want newsletters, even though I can't give you your download link by newsletter? But I guess I can always have a simple newsletter that states what is new, and maybe in parallel to that have a way to download the latest version directly from the plugin. Yeah I guess that would be a decent compromise.

I personally dont care for a newsletter, as long as the eq is running fine (which it is ) then i am happy. If an update comes along i will know because of the healthy attendance of the dev on KVR.

Does anyone have a problem with uncompensated delay in Ableton Live?

I changed something about the latency reporting, can anyone test it and tell me if it compensates latency better or worse depending on the host? Thanks.

http://photosounder.com/splineeq/splineeq_latency_test.zip (it's a build of the free version for Mac and Windows)
