either BTW, i just experienced to use free version of spline eq for a sample editing process
More precisely for sonic isolation of soundsources using a narrow bandwith, as the stridulations of a locust for instance I'm amazed how simple and effective can be to manipulate this eq for such a surgical process when i tried to use it as an extreme bandpass or bandstop AND bandpass filter simultaneously, using both the scale and the overall volume parameters for instance to increase the sharpness of the filters cutting curves Be shure that i shall by the full version as soon as possible, especially at such a humble price, truly fantastic tool !!!! |

I was just thinking of how there's always lots of plugins/apps that allow you to load impulse responses for convolution but not so many tools to create impulse responses. Maybe it would be nice if you could save SplineEQ's current impulse response to a WAV file, no? It's pretty straight-forward for me to implement and SplineEQ's IRs would give you the same sound quality when used in anything else that does convolution.

Good to hear. Do you think the max resolution setting (8x) is good enough for such extreme filtering or could it use going higher? It's pretty trivial for me to make it go higher although changing the range of that setting might change the value set in old projects. |

Well, as far as i experienced, the extreme settings where currently sharp enough to my needs Also, i'm using dsp-quattro as a host when time comes to sample editing and with this application it woudn't be a big deal to load a second instance of spline eq (or to do a current rendering process once again) in such an improbable case |

Since this is bumped, what's the latest? Is an update on the horizon? |

Also, I can't find any version information on the website. Scanning back a few pages here, it looks like 1.07 is the latest and I think what I have installed. I believe it was released back in the spring. It should be time for a crisp fall update. |

Thanks, I missed that a couple pages back: released on May 15. It looks like I actually have 1.08 installed, but I did download 1.09 at some point. Fall is begging for 1.1 then. |

Alright here's an update. Well first of all I was working on a 1.0.10 (just a different way to report delay, I gave a build of it in this thread for people to test it but I guess no one did) and also I was working on using a different version of the framework I use so that I could make RTAS and AAX builds (which were done on Windows but not on Mac yet).
But I moved to another country like 4 weeks ago so before that and since then I haven't been able to do anything (in the last two months). I'll start coding again as soon as I can get my hands on a compiler (I'm in the middle of nowhere with a capped 3G connection) and I'll do official releases again as soon as my development computer gets here, probably in around 3 weeks. Oh and since I was bored in the last few days I figured some PHP stuff out so now when you buy it the link to what you bought gets in your mail in a matter of seconds (I used to do it all by hand) and I added something on the download page so that you can resend yourself the link if you lost it (and already dumb Russian guys are using that to try to get it for free... |
