Three really good videos below Intro to Synthesis Part 1, 2 and 3 by Dean Friedman. Each of the videos has a running time of approx one hour, so there's three hours of synthesis introduction in total. Although a little bit dated (as in 1988 or thereabout) the general principles of sound is still the same.

Awesome, thanks for posting! I can't wait to check them out (not necessarily for the synthesis basics either... I love old tut videos, the can be really funny sometimes ;)).

Gotta envy his shirt "N.Y. School of Synthesis" I actually went to his website, he got some merchandise there including t-shirts, but no ol' school Synth shirt. 8)
