ah, I see. I'm sorry to hear that - I'm also running win 7, 64-bit on my one machine. Alas, with Asio4all.
Do you have a mixbus process still running after shutdown? |

gckilla, no, mixbus process is exiting.
I think it's all about my ASIO driver somehow. So, maybe you're OK because of asio4all. Sadly, this problem occurs just with Jack/MixBus. All my other hosts work OK with E-MU ASIO. I can use asio4all or intergated audio with MixBus on Windows, but I won't. I will install MixBus on GNU/Linux ASAP and try to use my E-MU audio-interface with native Linux Jack2. ---- MBP 13" - Core i7 2.9 GHz / 8 Gb DDR3 Metro 7 / Reaper 4 |

Hi auwerk,
We have a "known issue" with some 64bit systems using older 32bit ASIO drivers. This should be a rare situation, but it sounds like you and gckilla might have this issue. I believe asio4all will sometimes hide this issue but that's not the best workaround. We have a better workaround that involves renaming a "link" so that our 32bit driver is used instead of the default 64bit one. Please send us an email to get it sorted ( mixbus@harrisonconsoles.com). This isn't a support forum for us, and email works a lot better because we can keep up with who is who. Best Regards, Ben Loftis |

Hi, BenLoftis!
Thanks again for your response, but we have discussed this solution with someone from your team already (when I sent an e-mail last time). Running MixBus with 32-bit jack didn't help me. I have Linux system running Ardour 3 beta and it runs MixBus without any problems (audio-interface is the same E-MU 0202 offcourse). ---- MBP 13" - Core i7 2.9 GHz / 8 Gb DDR3 Metro 7 / Reaper 4 |

I have XP SP3 with Athlon FX55 proc single core and it wouldnt open on my system. Although I run SawstudioLite fine with that. I use Layla 24 ASIO drivers. I guess will have to wait to update system before can trial. Doesn't provide much hope to me for the product. |

Hi acousticglue,
I'm sorry but our minimum system requirements specify that you need a dual-core system. To everyone else I'd like to reiterate: if you have a problem launching Mixbus, please write us an email! So far we've been able to solve all but a very few specific problems, and we are tracking those down now. If you have a problem it's likely something that we've already seen, and we can tell you what is needed to get up and running. We have customer service offices in the UK and the US, so in most cases you can expect a quick reply. Best Regards, Ben Loftis |

Mixbus 2.0.7 is now available!
This is a free update for all of our customers and also our demo users. Everyone who is registered in our system should receive a free update link via email today. If you don't receive an email today, please write us at: mixbus@harrisonconsoles.com This is our second update since the Windows launch just 9 weeks ago, and our 7th free update since the launch of Mixbus 2.0. This update provides important fixes for the recently-released Windows version. It includes several important fixes for VST scanning, audio setup, and a mouse control issue. We also fixed a long-standing mouse/menu issue on OSX. On OSX and Linux, it adds MIDI control of Compressor, EQ, Mixbus, and Phase toggles. For all platforms, it provides several operational improvements to editing, looping, metronome clicks, and keybindings. A full list of changes is available in the manual ( http://www.harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus/Mixbus_User_Manual.pd f ) To celebrate the launch of this important update for Windows, we are reinstating the Windows launch price of $149 until April 9th. This price applies to all versions: Mac, Windows, and Linux. Unfortunately we were not able to finalize the VST "shell" support for this release, because we didn't have time to test with Waves v9. But we are going to publish a Beta version in the next day or so for those users who want to use Waves VST plugins. ( Note: this is for Windows users only, OSX users can use Waves plugins without problems ) Thanks to all of our customers for your continued support and interest in Mixbus! Hi everyone!
Mixbus 2.1 is now available as a FREE update for Harrison customers. This update provides several new features ( Soundcloud, Freesound, and metadata integration, among others ) along with many bugfixes and improvements on all 3 platforms. A full list of changes can be found in the Release Notes of the updated User Manual: http://www.harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus/Mixbus_User_Manual.pd f User should receive an update email before the end of Thursday, July 12 ( US Central time ) OSX users will be happy to see some deep fixes for long-standing issues such as plugin UI weirdness on specific multi-monitor setups and improvements to AU plugin support. Windows users will find greatly improved VST support, including an external scanning app which avoids VST scanning crashes. We worked very hard to introduce some good new features while making dramatic improvements to overall stability and consistency on all 3 platforms. We also incorporated an extended beta test period for this release, so we could capture more user input before the launch. Once again, we want to express a heartfelt thank you to our customers and supporters. We couldn't do this work without your input and encouragement! The future of Mixbus is very bright with Ardour3 features, new plugins, new videos, and a hardware control surface underway. And we continue to support the Ardour open-source workstation with code and funding, which is a Good Thing(tm) for our industry. But our main focus is still customer service, fixing bugs, and adding features that our customers request. Hopefully you've sent us your comments already, and perhaps we implemented some of your requests in 2.1. If not, you should write us at mixbus@harrisonconsoles.com with your comments about Mixbus. If you enjoy using Mixbus, please take a moment to tell a friend. We have versions for Windows, OSX, and Linux; so you can share sessions with all your friends, regardless of which platform they use. We now have a subscription plan which allows them to start using Mixbus for only $49 + $9 per month. ![]() |

I was wondering when you would implement any midi for vsti or transport controls, I would love to able to use a sampler or drum machine in it. But as it is, I use it for mix summing or just for audio work. Really like. Im on the subscription, but its not really doing anything for me. I will happily pay the three months and then see whats what. Any news on further updates... |
