Agree. It is bliss. No more transfer nonsense. And if you want to transfer to computer, iExplorer works even better in conjunction with a jailbreaked device because it doesn' t have to be restarted whenever you have browsed the maximum of five folders. |

I just installed an app called Phone Drive that has a movie player (amongst other things) in it. Supposedly it can transfer via bluetooth between iPhones and iPads but I don't have an iPad here to test that out. Using it as a simple wifi drive for my Mac is working well. |

Yes I know diskAid, iexplorer and all this stuff but they will never allow you to transfer whatever documents between Apps, without a computer.
With a Jailbreak you don't need a computer to access the FULL file system of the device. It changes everything! |

Hm, I probably wouldn't want to go for a jailbreak - but then, maybe I would...
Anyway, I think that such simple things should be part of the device even without sketchy workarounds. Again, Apple is limiting the potential artificially. - Sascha ---- There are 3 kinds of people: Those who can do maths and those who can't. |

Anyway, I think that such simple things should be part of the device even without sketchy workarounds. Again, Apple is limiting the potential artificially. Think... different. No, seriously speaking, iOS is quite limited and closed. Why Apple does it? Who knows, maybe to avoid support requests like "OMG iCloud sucks!!!!! It won't store the X-App documents" just to have 20 posts down below "Ohhh teh-he-he sorry, I moved/renamed/deleted" the folder by accident, or maybe it would cut down simplicity or revenue with their products such as the Camera Kit... For whatever reason they do it, one must know there are two big fellas here. Android and iOS. Probably Win8 in the future too. If iOS is too closed for you, Android is not. If Jailbreak sounds like a pain in the ass (and trust me, JB is awesome, removes most "closedness" problems, but only God knows if there will always be a jailbreak for each future iOS version), Android is for you. So if those two premises are met, what is left to rule out iOS? Apps. If there is a big app that you can't find a replacement on Android, or maybe two or three and you cannot live without them, then it's hard to ditch iOS. As for why some of us still chose iOS over Android after all the limitations.. it's because we are sheep and we are only 10 year olds that had our brains washed into using toys... ---- What better religion than music itself? |

That's iMaschine for me. However, I'd rather have a Win8 tablet running the full Maschine. |

I like iOS because of low latency audio. And that's about it, for anything else Android (plus quite some of the available hardware) is miles ahead. File compatibility and file handling of iOS are a disgrace to human intelligence.

I don't see any reason why not. What has you be concerned about it? Mainly thinking about the onboard audio device which is more important on a mobile device. |

This is not specific to the iPad 3, rather what is coming along with iOS 5.1 and the wave of app updates..
The tweaks to GarageBand are fun & handy... upload straight to SoundClound...nice! |
