I'm on the lookout for some good free soundbanks for Novation V-Station.
Any recommendations? |

I was going to recommend the bearnaomh patches too, but beaten to it. Try also Xenos: http://xenossoundworks.com/v_station.html Only cost me about a tenner for 150 patches - all excellent. And they aren't just variations on a theme - each one can be tweaked into something else. I have a few other free sources - there aren't that many. They are pretty thin on the ground. Some people say this synth is easy to program, but I can program a Wavestation or FM7 easier than this thing. These are great patches and well worth the money. If you are skint and need some free ones, I don't think there are too many, but pm me and if you give me a week or two I will dig them all out for you. But the bearnaomh and the Xenos are about the best... The bearnaomh are free I think, but the Xenos are worth every penny! Imho it takes a little to get a get a good sound out of this synth. But a lot of prowess to get a really good sound. But rest assured it can sound really good. Let us know what you think. I even did a bank myself, but it is pretty lame It is just a bread and butter synth for me when I don't mind adding a shit load of effects. Like I said, check these out, then if you still ain't satisfied, I will dig out my library and give you what I have for free (what is allowed of course). I do remember the Xenos ones worth paying for though, and being even more surprised that the bearnaomh ones were free. They are both exceptional sound designers. I just find this synth very hard to program to sound GREAT. ---- "I guess once a junkie, always a junkie." - Bruce Swedien. |
