i would like to use iCON iCONTROLs in MuLab, but all the buttons sends 90-9F as status byte - tested with MIDI-OX.
which means that pressing this buttons sends a note on/off command. i have contacted iCON support but the answer was unhelpfully - "You can change the mode via I-Map from Mackie control to user dvined...!". With iMap iControl i can only change data1 byte but not the status byte. On Cubase, Logic, Life and Samplitude i-CONTROLs is supported by Mackie Control. On MuLab i have configured i-CONTROLs now as midi device 16 and so i can use the transport buttons, faders and controllers, but i can't use buttons for mute and solo because status byte for this buttons is 90-9F, because MuLab only expected Controller Commands. |

Workaround to change status byte from 90-9F to B0-BF:
edit saved iMap iControl file iControl.icon with text editor and add offset value 32 to each channel -> see table below (comments are not part of iControl.icon!). modifyed content of iControl.icon (first relevant bytes): 240 29 3 0 26 0 32 - 6x Transport knob channels set to channel 1 32 32 32 32 32 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 32 - 18x left side Fader buttons set to channel 1..9 32 33 33 34 34 35 35 36 36 37 37 38 38 39 39 40 40 : load modifyed file into iMap iControl and send it to your i-Controls. Now, the only problem is that i-Controls sends for each 2 buttons on the left fader side 2 CCs with value 0 and 127. if it's possible to add in MIDI controller map for Source an addditional value, how realised for shortcuts we could use this buttons for mute and solo. |
