I got something from the second half...that held my attention.
If I were going to make any changes to it, I would thin out the drums a lot, and put some fairly light guitar stomp box type distortion on them. The gated drum sound is very dated to the 80's new wave, Thomas Dolby... and rock...Phil Collins. Effecting it might get them in to more of a today sound. Gated drums just haven't yet been excepted as retro unless your doing new wave. The opening half is all drums for the exception of some tones. Takes to long to get interesting...needs something or shorten it and build on the second half. Just an opinion. ---- "For many individuals with mental illness, creativity is a valued and central part of their identity." |

Did you take it down? The link is broken now it seems...
EDIT: Now it works! Hmm, the first half definitely could use some work and I agree with annode there. The second half has a lot more going for it, and the drums work well in the second half too imo. Somehow I find it lacks structure though, there are cool parts but I'm not feeling the progression somehow. |
