It's not a matter of like it or not. In 70 pages the attempts to put down Saurus in every way has been ridiculous and unfair. Just my opinion (can I express my opinion? I just knew that tone2 synth gonna be criticized on KvR for whatever reason. it's like "kvr community" (whatever it is) don't like tone2. Kvr community loves two synths mainly: - Diva - Alchemy If some newbie asks about synth for: a) pads the answer is: diva, alchemy b) leads the answer is: diva, alchemy c) chiptune the answer is: diva, alchemy d) deadmau 5 pluck: the answer is: alchemy e) avicii piano sound: the answer is: diva, alchemy f) sine wave the answer is: diva (yea, cpu wise g) (almost forgot) skrillex dubstepzor bass the answer is: alchemy and diva Oh, I forgot. I hope that some people have deep sense of humour but quite often it's really like this on kvr. whatever the question is - there are some people who have universal answer: use Diva / Alchemy / Zebra. You forgot Omnisphere Anyway, unfortunately Tone2 seem to have to an extent invited such comparisons by their unfortunate choice of a name for this synth, and their also unfortunate decision to directly refer to u-he synths in their advertising. It probably would have been wiser and endeared more people to them if they had chosen to be less adversarial in their marketing. And Sylenth1 |

Analysis is literally the inverse process to synthesis, so IMO it's perfectly legitimate to look at things like waveforms & spectra, or any descriptions of functionality in a technological context. It doesn't explain everything after a sound designer's _Sound_ converts to neurological phenomena, but _Sound_ has to somehow be completely encoded in actual sound and objective measures there are completely relevant. |

I like how these huge topics, you eventually get the outcome of googling 'tone2 saurus' and having this very thread as the first hit, before the official website. |

I had to see this thread go on for 46 pages of crazy hype machine mania with not a single audio example to back up Tone2's claims, so it's fair game to do at least 46 pages of criticism. pikadilly wrote: No demo videos or audios. Only this mini giveaway. Yet this thread spans across 33 pages and still on. When the synth reveals itself, this thread could be either one of the biggest marketing stuns or another flop. Would Saurus be a synth with a distinct analogue sound, or it would sound like another Tone2 product? We'll see soon.
