You think? I'm pretty sure that digital artifacts, authenticity and such can very well be measured, quantified and qualified. Whether anyone values authenticity over cpu usage or vice versa, that *is* subjective. The qualities however, "cpu usage", "analogue behavior", "digital artifacts" are not. |

We use a really old one. You should try it some day. |

Ingo thanks for the comparison.......they do sound different as expected, but not significantly different so that one would be unusable especially in a track situation......when you do the moog patches would be nice, if you don't tell us which is which so any biases I and others may have would be marginalised...
It may be some of my disappointment in the synth has to do with the choice of patches in some cases more than the synths (before some of the developers jump down my throat, I am not saying the choice of patches were bad, just that they weren't what I was expecting) rsp |

Meh, shame it degraded into a Saurus vs Diva thing, Saurus is a great synth that packs a sonic punch, and that's not cos I wrote some of the marketing stuff, its bloody true.
The analogue issue is purely subjective. If you are that passionate to get a true analogue sound, then get analogue gear ! Saurus does a pretty damn good version of the analogue gear I'd ever want (303, Alpha Juno and JP8****) I echo what Rob said, congrats to Tone2 on an excellent release, and here's to all who enjoy using Saurus from now on in their work. I just don't understand all this e-peen stuff about my synth is better than yours, there is plenty of room in the world for both. ---- Forward ever, Backward never |

Besides the Diva clip having more presence and body, the difference between the amplitude and the perceived volume for each clip is the real give away there. Loads of head room left on that Diva clip - in other words, the perceived loudness for the same amplitude will be significantly greater for the Diva patch, which is what you want with a bass patch (or any patch, for that matter). |

Can't guess which is which, waiting for an answer. |
