A simple melody and lead with Amplitube 3, Massive and a Hamer Californian through a 15 wall preamp.

I attempt to replicate live bands. I play live, tweak and quantize (sometimes).
Easy stuff.

I have used guitar vsti's until recently until a Hamer guitar on the cheap brought me back from a absence. I am now trying to incorporate a live guitar to the mix with limited results so far.

But I will get better!

Any comments appreciated on mix,

Thanks,
Greg from Birmingham (Alabama!)

It may be loud.

Hot guitar, smoking, which is way too down in the mix, and too far to the side. The beats could be good, but especially the kick sounds again way off to the sides, and a bit too up in the mix maybe. Hope that might help, otherwise sounds good.

+1

But I don't mind the volume of the kick, just the placement. Nice guitar work. What did you settle on for the bass?

Massive. It seems to work well in a mix.

Thanks.

I took the suggestions and here is what I came up with. I find this part of the chain the hardest for sure. I have always appreciated a good mix though, guess it has to do with the difficulty involved.

Thanks for the input.
