I wonder why he left so many features available in this version. I was thinking about purchasing dune for the easter sale, now I'm having a hard time wondering if it will be worth the price of admission. I can't help feeling that current dune owners and future dune purchasers are going to feel a tad cheated when I find out about this. Getting 12 more matrix slots of efx doesn't seem like 140 dollar purchase. To me it would've made more sense to cut the voices in half and be lacking an osc and some of the modules. I see the computer music plugins has extended demos, but this. seems more full featured than ever. I still like dune a lot. I'm just on the fence now this is available, and there are other plugins I'd like to have as well. |

Well, they cut prices in half during x-mas sale .. they sort of devalue their products when doing so. With companies using this business strategy it's just to wait for the next sale or you'll feel cheated when it comes. ---- Mulab-MUX-Diversion-TX16Wx-SKNOTE-Charlatan-Valhalla-GordonSmith-YamahaTHR10-Trackspacer-TheDrop/Glue-Drumaxx-VOS-DC8C [i5 2500K @ 4,3GHz] [8Gb DDR3] [200Gb+ SSD][M-Audio Delta 24/96 PCI] |

While I have no inside information, this may be a strategy that Cakewalk used with Z3ta. They started featuring v. 1.5 on the disc, and soon after, v. 2 came out with an attractive upgrade price. I imagine Dune 2 is in the works, and this is a way to increase the customer base before the new version comes out. That's speculation on my part, though. |

I think you're right jsp, Ableton is probably doing the same thing giving out Live Lite 8 to all who are registered at soundcloud. ---- Mulab-MUX-Diversion-TX16Wx-SKNOTE-Charlatan-Valhalla-GordonSmith-YamahaTHR10-Trackspacer-TheDrop/Glue-Drumaxx-VOS-DC8C [i5 2500K @ 4,3GHz] [8Gb DDR3] [200Gb+ SSD][M-Audio Delta 24/96 PCI] |
