An updated, improved version of Virus MOD v2 by fr4ncesco:
The custom Wavetable set does not overwrite the original z3ta+ Wavetable set. When the VIRUS Wavetable set is loaded, the corresponding original VIRUS Waves labels are shown in the 'Oscillators Wave' selection (only 'User 1 to 6' labels remain unchanged being actually VIRUS Waves 58, 59, 60, 62, 63 and 64). The skin not only shows a more realistic hardware look but also helps with some clues in the signal flow. The default bank is preloaded with both the VIRUS Wavetable set and the z3ta+ original Wavetable set. Additional loadable VIRUS Waves (21, 22, 42, 44, 49, 54, 61, Saw and Pulse) are included so the "Classic" Mode set is now completed. This is 2012 and there's Cakewalk z3ta+2 so what's the point of using v1.53? Cakewalk's v2 does not allow using more than one Wavetable set. Cakewalk's v2 does not have the 'Load Global Wavetable set' program option. Cakewalk's v2 does not have the 'Load Program Wavetable set' program option. Cakewalk's v2 does not handle banks as it used to be. Cakewalk's v2 distorts v1.x patches using 'Loaded User Wavetables'. Cakewalk's v2 offsets an octave up in arp patterns from v1.x patches. Those interested get it quick cause links won't last for long! Cheers, Wally C ////////// Disclaimer ////////// The content on this package is not intended for commercial use or distribution. **********
Requirements ********** A clean, working, un-moded installation of z3ta+ v1.53 (compatibility with other versions is unknown). v1.53 was the last version developed by rgc:audio and had many improvements: Native Windows Vistaฎ Support (applies to Windows 7) 64-bit Windows binaries in DXi and VSTi formats Stand-Alone Microhost for x64 Windows versions Real-Time and Off-Line independent Playback Quality selectors New MIDI Learn functionality Import MIDI file to Arpeggiator function Optimized Arpeggiator Engine Wavetable saving (from Oscillator Shaper) Note: Banks saved in older v1.3 does not load properly in v1.53. A workaround is to load and save old banks in v1.4 and then load in v1.53. The "v13 default" bank was already converted and included in the MOD. |

Thanks very much for this. One note: the installation instructions cite "Program Data" on Win XP as the location where the Programs folder needs to be placed, but no such location exists on XP. The actual place for it is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\App Data\Cakewalk\z3ta+ ---- Yes! |

I tried it when it was released unfortunately I couldn't make it work on Win 7 and Sonar X1. It does not show up in the VST list after scanning. The previous version had instruction to copy the original z3ta folder and rename the dll then copy other resources to the new folder. In this version it says "Copy/replace contents of 'z3ta+' folder to your 'z3ta+' main folder:(where Arpeggios, Documentation, Resources, Tunings and Wavetables are located)". So does it mean the original z3ta is replaced by this one? I am confused. |

I got it to work.
I'm using the 64 bit VST version in FL Studio on 64 bit Win 7 platform. I also got Sonar X2 Essential as backup, and it is no problem for me to load this virus mod of z3ta+ there either. |

Thanks! Just copy them there with the original waves. Don't replace the whole folder! <Edit> Oh I see what you mean. Only Bank F is showing other waves. A,B,C,D, and E are showing only the Virus waves. Maybe there is a workaround to display all the waves + the Virus waves? </Edit> |

This may be beside the point but will there be any conversions of this to z3ta 2 like there was with the first Virus mod? I live in hope! |

Where can I find a proper version of Z3ta V1?
I've the serial from the Beat Magazine site, but I can't find the old installation file except from the warez sites! Many thanks for the skin, it's awesome! Edit: Found it! Edit2: What does that mean? Quote: The content on this package is not intended for commercial use or distribution.
This project is about sharing knowledge between synthesizer enthusiasts and no profit is pursued. Can we use this plugin with this skin in our commercial release? Does that refer only to the skin distribution? Sorry if it's a stupid question but I can't understand it very well!
