http://korg.com/monotrons

Not a kit though - Cost around £35 UK
You could always take it apart and circuit bend it Smile

I don't know if you've seen it but the Meeblip SE seems to be available now: http://meeblip.com/2012/03/02/meeblip-se-available-no/ Smile

I just built a PreenFM kit and I can highly recommend it.

The build was straightforward and nicely documented. My first time with a soldering iron, so I took it slow - it took me 8 hours overall. It worked first time, but needed some tweaking and re-soldering to become solid.

I'm intrigued by it. I also own a Yamaha FS1r, and while Preen is nowhere near as powerful, it does have a unique and very usable character, helped immensely by the ease of patching. It's sounding fine to me!

(The first thing I recorded, whilst it's guts were out so some noisebursts...
with Valhalla room)

I'm now looking at Dronelab for next project. I think I'm hooked Razz

those seem quite expensive (rant...) but you can't
blame them, original projects, etc.

when you consider the korg monotron IS a korg,
featuring MS filter etc, and there's quite a
bit of modding going on, if you have time,
inclination, skills etc., it is a bit of a
bargain, for the pre-built parts alone.
cheaper than a MS10, anyway.

ha: check this one out:

i agree, the korg mini synth series are fun,
but i prefer the 'expensive' monotribe because
it can be controlled more easily with a DAW.
(there is a midi mod somewhere)
