Hello! I have read some great stuff on this site so I decided to register.
I have been producing and studying music theory for a month now.

1. I'm trying to remake famouse chord progressions every day and decided to try this piano melody yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoPTwn_mU9k

Do you think I got it right? I only did it by ear.


2. I have also tried to recreate "Nause - Melllow" but I'm stuck:

I get all the notes down in the piano roll (melody starts on 'A'), but I can't seem to find the right chords.I have tried some combinations but none sounds right.

Help me!

3. Also, if it's not too much to ask for - how do they get that smooth sounding piano. I don't need to know the exact preset etc. but more how they use the chords to not make it sound hard like, for example, the the first song
