That's why I won't run it through Z3ta. I haven't tried it but Predator uses 5% CPU as a reverb fx. I think Z3ta would use more and that's what I've always thought about the reverb, metallic. |

I'm in the "love eos" camp.
I can see why some people wouldn't like it, it's not exactly smooth at all. That's exactly what I like about it; it sounds like an artificial reverb unit. It's my go-to for plates. And not realistic plates. On (programmed/drum machine) hi-hats I don't know of anything better for my style. I used to use CSR plate for this, but not since eos. So it's not bread and butter, nor amazing flexible, but it has a vibe that's difficult to obtain elsewhere. I'd probably never recommend eos, but for my own usage, I think it's great. |
