I am looking for a developer to complete audio requirements for an iOS app under development. The current developer has finished the non-audio requirements for the app. Jazz Box, is a music reference and educational tool. The audio requirements include
1) a straight-forward virtual instrument to play chords and scales. All of the data tables are complete and currently used in the app to drive the visual display.
2) Use the iOS AV Framework to playback an audio file using a DSP such as iZotope's DJFX for pitch and time shift. Then, mix audio groove with device's mic input to create an audio clip of the user practicing over the jazz groove. I am open to other viable solutions to achieve this objective.
More descriptive and complete requirements are available for qualified, interested developers.

The ideal, professional candidate should
* be able to read music, treble and bass clef preferred
* be an experienced iOS developer with knowledge of required development skills (Objective C, C++, AV Frameworks, DSP, MIDI, audio file and data formats)
* have experience building virtual instruments
* have experience with iOS audio frameworks

Currently, I use eLance to put funds in escrow for developer payment when code passes QA. However, I am open to other mutually secure methods to manage project engagement risks.

My background: Previously, I was the Head of eBusiness for 12 years at a firm with 2M clients and annual revenues of $800M. I left the firm last June and established De novo Digital, LLC to rethink traditional products and services in digital terms.

Interested developers should email dave@denovodigital.biz for more complete project description and requirements.

Wink I'm always game for a jam session, but no, I found communication on apps like this much easier with those who can read music. - Best, Dave
