Of course it supports vst and au. You just need to open the Live "preferences" and make sure you scan your vst folder. Check all the preferences. The plugin folder one is most important, as if you happen to have your vst folder in a different place than default, you must direct Live to that folder. Other important settings are your Midi i/o settings, and latency. All within the preferences. Remember, there are 2 different views there. Pressing "tab" will switch between them. |

But, here's the thing, the limitations cause you to avoid thinking the live way. You avoid building complex chains on a track because, well, you've only got six effects. It's better than older versions, but it is really limiting for dance music. |

Just had a go of Ableton that came with my Saffire pro. I must say I was quite impressed and its true what they say about the workflow.
Might give some consideration into buying the full version and seeing if I prefer it to Logic. |
