I'd like to get a looper pedal that I can use during live performances. What are you using and/or what would you recommend?

I've been reading manuals of the different Boss looper pedals but I don't think any of them would be the right for me although RC-50 does come close.

What I want is the ability to record few loops that I can mute/unmute individually. If I could have different simultaneous loops to be of different length it would be cool too. I don't have any need for presets or ability to save loops in memory long term.

Any suggestions?

Red Sound Soundbite - there's a few models:

I had one of the Micro's until recently, and quite liked it. I only got rid of it because I needed the money, and changes to my live setup made it redundant.

No MIDI? Can't be used as a pedal?
They look kinda nifty, but not as useful as a pedal...

I definitely need a pedal because I intend to use it with electric cello so my hands are both busy. For my intended use MIDI isn't important.

The Electro Harmonix 2880
http://www.ehx.com/products/2880

This thing is pricey but it's ridiculously awesome.

I'm currently using a Line6 DL4 as my looper but I hope to upgrade to the 2880 eventually.

Editt: I didn't know the 2880 was discontinued! Shit!
You can still get them from dealers, though. Bummer!

You might also check out the Line6 JM4

I haven't used this but the Looper in the DL4 is pretty good, as long as you don't need MIDI sync.

Thomann still seems to have EH 2880... I'd still need a control pedal for it, though. I'll read the manual and see if it would do what I need. Thanks for the suggestions!

Btw, does anyone have experience from Digitech JamMan pedals?
