I've considered one or two of their courses too so would also be very interested in feedback from people. Some of the free videos they have on YouTube are great. |

Hi Guys,
Hope it's cool that I post on this... First all, it's great to hear that you are thinking about studying with us and if you have any questions if you would liek any more info then I'm happy to help. In terms of hearing from past students, I would recommend that you take a look at the reviews section on our website: http://www.pointblankonline.net/reviews/student-reviews.php These are great to hear of students' past experiences and how they found their time studying with us. If you need any more info or if you have any quesitons then please feel free to ask me. Best, Luke PB |

Hi Guys
I've actually completed the EDM course with point blank this year. I would consider myself an intermediate level producer and have a decent knowledge of the basics. I enjoyed the course and it gave me a much more rounded knowledge of whats required to create a track from start to finish. Even thought the course was aimed a trance and progressive house I found I was able to apply the same principles to the house and techno style that I prefer. You get video tutorials from 2-3 different tutors but you have 1-1 sessions with just one tutor who gives you your video feedback each week. Ive actually taken a couple of different online courses over the last year and the thing that sets point blank apart is the ability to see what the other people on the course are handing up and to see the feedback that they received. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Its good that you can see the tips that are given to the other guys on the course but if the level of skill with the other class members is lower than yours then you wont really learn much from it. For me the best thing about taking the course with them is that at the end of the course your finished track will be considered for release on the point blank label so it really focuses you to try and make the best of it What the course wont cover is sound design so if your looking to improve they sounds effects and textures you are using then Id opt for the sound design one but if you are struggling to get a track from loop to finished article then yes I would definitely advise you check it out |

For my two cents, don't do any courses until you've been through some of the ones you don't need to enrol for. I recommend Tom Cosm's two series, and Mr Bill's "The Art Of Mr Bill" series. I'm not saying that a structured course is no good, but you can get so much out of watching other people work, and until you've done that it's not really worth doing an online course you'll only get a lot out of the course if you already have a grounding. I don't recommend doing any courses unless you already have a solid foundation.
