i own sylenth1, and now dune. 2 great synths (S1 has been my go-to for a while; am just getting in to dune). but...
the GUI on sylenth1 is...ugly. very ugly LOL. dune looks good, but...i LIKE changing things up (i've customized Logic, for example). so...searched the web, found skins for both apps. THEN customized them further, to suit my own aesthetic. am NOT doing anything EXCEPT changing the look of things (i.e. no more wood paneling on sylenth1!) it's great fun, and both look great (to me at least). just sharing.

Not so keen on the 2nd, though you did a nice job. Too many knobs and looks like Dune. i didn't design either one, just tweaked them. the second one IS dune LOL... |

am on a mac...
so, i made a copy of the AU plugin (as a backup) first. control-clicked on the plugin so i can view the resources folder. then played with the MAIN GUI image(s) for each synth in photoshop (which LOL, i also own). nothing more than that. the mods are easy to google; the tweaks i made did it for me (i.e. killing the wood paneling on sylenth1, and changing the keyboard to black keys). deepening the color on dune, a few other tweaks. |

i should probably TRY the dune GUI on sylenth1 (or, for example, an omnisphere GUI on dune...would make it look REAL elegant and expensive...)

no probs. there are lots of tools to extract bits out of a dll around but was hoping that there's a "recommended" tool for that |
