V'ger wrote: @Bzur, that's a major issue, what's your system? Does it work in other hosts? But to be honest too many plugin issues was part of the reason I finally gave up Cubase which is ironic as one of the reasons I decided to go for that DAW after early Cakewalk days was that since Steinberb IS VST, it would be the most solid.. It's a WIN7 @64bit. Currently I'm still working on Cubase Studio 4 (which is @32 bit). I'll try also with Cubase 6.5 - It's currently a trial version... 18 days to go! Anyway, It's just a first attempt - shame on me, I didn't find the time to test it before. It crashed with a two Augur instances project... not very encouraging indeed! I'll keep on trying. |

URRRGH! I attempted to build patches tonight, and everything still sounds like a 1979 Lowrey home organ gave birth to a goat! Hey, but I'm up to the challenge! Last month I finally purchased Korg Wavestation LE, and I'm thinking Auger will help me get a feel for vector synthesis before I delve deep into the Korg's programming. Good luck everyone! |

I've got 5 instances with reaper 4.22, using a Puppy Studio 1337 usbstick,
with a TAL reverb on a sixth track. Using almost 240K ram, according to htop. It's worked without problems for years, in several linux versions, and also fine on XP sp3. |

Ditto. A quick test looks like it is possible to assign waveform change just fine via Reaper's automation envelopes... now just to assign those to a MIDI CC and I'll be in business once I can get to my real keys and away from this LPK-25! |

Have done a quick test with 4 instances running in Cubase 6.5 (64bit) on Windows 7 and seems OK so far. Did present blank a GUI when first opened the plugin, which I've had before with 32bit VSTs that the Cubase 64bit bridge doesn't like, but then worked fine and unable to reproduce the problem again
Will test a bit more at the weekend Jon |

Both Reaper 4.22 and FLStudio10 HATE this plugin on Windows 7(64bit) Back to XP We should have gone for Atlantis |

Big shame with all the issues again, I think maybe for the future we should have some time between the vote and competition start to see if a backup needs to be used although it could also be that that testing will not really be done either as seems to be during voting..
Or we could just say that the testing time is the first days of the month like now and just switch to the second placed one if there are too many immediate issues. Anyone in favor of this? Switch to Minimogue tomorrow? Seems like the big majority has issues with Augur.. But nice tip about changing the waveforms with envelope automation z.prime (knobs are most practical I guess). ![]() |

So far no problems with Renoise.
Arturia has it's own clone of Prophet and Prophet VS is included in. Some documentation you can find here: http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/prophetv/resour ces.html |

One idea to stabilize Augur. Maybe you may try to install Big Thick Zen and open the Augur in Zen? Zen may be a kind of 'one additional stage' between daw and vst. |

I got a problem which is strange, because i didn't got it before i installed WIN7 in dual mode with XP (both partitions)
But also it could be another thing, i uninstalled Augur long time ago, and now i reinstalled from a RAR, with all the presets into the folder, etc. Now when i try to change presets, which i saved as FL format sometime ago, it crashes. Only thing that i mustn't do is to use these old FL presets and everything goes fine in FL Studio. Anyway i almost have finished my crappy song, i got very inspired with Augur (when i found the "solution" some hours ago) so i won't get nuts in case Augur won't work. Also, for FL Studio users, try to quit some options in the Process Options, like multithreaded core, just in case. Have a good day |

Anyone have the 1.0b version of this plug? That might solve some issues |

Should we persist with Augur or go for the second placed synth Minimogue? Must decide by tomorrow. |

Augur seems to be causing so many problems for so many people it seems that it can't stand as this month's synth. Given the choice I would switch to Minimogue...
...or could we do an "either Augur/or Minimogue" OSC? There was only one point separating them, so maybe allow a choice of one or the other this month Jon |

I have tried Augur on Windows 7, XP, Wine and all seem to have random problems. It's a shame, I think I'd ultimately like the synth... I'd vote for one that doesn't crash, though. |
