Hi all,
Now I finished my track. Not without problems with Augur. There are some cracks left, fortunately hidden in the arrangement. And I had some strange changes of attack times. Soft sounds sometimes got hard attacks. I had to tweak the paramenters a bit to get rid of that. A shame that this good sounding synth is not realy finalised. But it worked, here is the result. I called the track Levitation 21 instances in Cubase 5 Essential Reverbs: Ambience, EpicVerb Delay: IxoxDelay Dynamics: DensitiymkII, Loudmax Filter: Electri-Q Span cheers, Photonic ---- soundcloud.com/photonic-1 |

+1! There are some good sounds to be had. With problems resolved (and maybe a few extra/changed features) the synth would be great! |

I don't think to have a synth vote for next month as last vote was Augur which it seems few actually tested and turned out to be a trouble synth. I admit that Plex that I selected before that was not much better, but was not much tested either due to lack of time on my part. So for next month it will be one that will be much more solid. It will also have an available developer who will likely be able to fix anything that will come up. I feel confident most will like it. |

With all the discussion about Augur, it really gave me no problems with 10 instances. Every once in a while it would pause for about 10 seconds after stopping playback and make me really nervous, but it never crashed. Although I do have a weird deal with my stereo track. The graphic waveform is completely whacked, and is not showing the real audio. It was that way when I checked it in Soundforge, and now on Soundcloud as well. Anyone have an idea? I think the waveform in soundcloud is an average between the two stereo channels, so it's normal to see it different. In addition, I suspect they use a different Y scale, to emphasize the little amplitude values. Regarding the audio quality, they reconvert your file to optimize the streaming - at 128Kbps, if I remember well. Anyway, they store the original file untouched, so that anyone could download it as is. |

What Bzur said. Also remember to share the track in the another group. I sent you a private message via SoundCloud. Have a good day |

I loaded your track and opened it in Wavosaur. After two minutes you have a big DC-bias in the track. I do not know where it is coming from. But it seems that the grafics cannot deal with this DC-bias. You should try to remove it to get better dynamic. It is a very nice track!!! But I cannot see it on the QSC-Soundcloud site. Only on your own SC-site. Good luck! Photonic ---- soundcloud.com/photonic-1 |

Here's an usefool tool to remove the DC bias: http://www.meldaproduction.com/freevstplugins/mutility.php (the DC blocker). |
