Ok you've got a deal. I have to finish some other things first so I might not be able to get to it right away.

I don't even have access to a Windows box right now, but the code should be pretty portable. If I get enough requests for a port I'll do one. Thanks for your interest!

A request from Mr. BigTone himself!

I guess I have to do it now, even if only to pay you back for all the great patches you've put out over the years for the other synths I use.

Fingers crossed that I get one BigTone patch for Scythe to put in the first factory bank...

Ok I have a Windows version of this that seems to be working, although I've only tested it in Renoise. It's up on the same product page as the Mac version. If people can kick the tires on it a bit I'd be much obliged.

I thought it was very classy for you to make a low cpu soundset for Diva users.
Really a very fine collection. Thanks! Smile (I should have posted in the other
place, but like seeing someone at the grocery, might as well use the time Wink )

Working fine in Reaper on Windows, and making some interesting sounds! I love the random / init buttons, great idea.

I'm using Scythe in Live 8.3 with OSX 10.6.8. Is the 'Bend' animation supposed to be very jerky/steppy? I tried to record a smooth pitch or filter sweep but when I press a key after recording the movement it doesn't play back the same way it was recorded.

I think it would be very nice if the 'Bend' function had a rate parameter and the ability to loop the recorded knob movements. I'd also like to be able to use the LFOs at much higher rates (~1000hz) The artifacts that happen when you modulate the pitch, PW or mix with an LFO running at 20-50Hz are badass!

I like the sound of the PWM on the digital wave shapes. I also like the filter drive (though it seem like the filter cutoff is scaled in an odd way). I also like that the way the delay responds to adjusting the time parameter with the feedback cranked.

Thanks for this. Smile

Looks lovely and works fine in FL Studio 10 in Win Vista SP2. I don't have a lot of time to really use it now but I'll savor it later. Very Happy

My new VST synth, Scythe, is free and available now. It's a port of my GrainBender iPad synth but with a somewhat different interface tailored more for VST. It's currently available as an OS X and Windows 32-bit VST.

key features:
- unique, intuitive sound design interface
- versatile oscillators with analog & digital waveforms
- extensive but easy-to-use modulation
- effects ranging from chorus and delay to digital grunge
- low cpu usage

So why is everyone asking for a Windows version if you say above that it's available as a Windows 32-bit VST? Can it be used on Windows or not? Confused

Never mind, TristezaOrange says it works on Vista with FL Studio 10. That's my setup so my question is already answered I guess.
