Since i got my tax rebate i have been looking at workstations so i can go jam with an old drummer friend of mine.
Have been looking at the Kurzweil PC3X and like it a lot but what's with the dumb tiny screen?! Any suggestions or experience of your workstation please. I want... Decent sequencer (will need quick edits at the rehearsal, maybe touchscreen) Large screen After touch keys 61 keys Good sounds (obviously) Hammond organs, electric pianos, clavis, anything electronic. I Dont want... Anything to do with NI soundbanks Beautiful real instrument emulations Short list but feel free to suggest anything, Thanks EDIT this is not for dance music or tarnce more prog rock sounds including good analog emulations |

PC3X has the best sounds and effects for you by far, and it has a good sequencer. The screen is very good, it doesn't matter that it's not huge like M3's. The build quality is the best, the keys are the best. If you want a nice big fancy screen and fine sequencer, get M3. ---- "Music is spiritual. The music business is not." - Claudio Monteverdi |

It looks like you are in the same thoughts as I was a while ago.
For me, there were three that interested me. The three was: Korg M50, Yamaha MOX and Roland Juno Di. I was around and tried a little. The Juno Di was quickly removed from the list, and the Korg M50 is incredibly easy to work with due to the touch screen and assignable knobs. I can't really comment the MOX. I have never been able to work and try it. cheers ---- Best regards No73 http://www.myspace.com/non73audio http://soundcloud.com/no73 (comment and follow) |
