For me the recab stuff isn't instant grat.......gotta play a little. But it sounds more natural in the context of what is going on around it to me.
Anyways, really thought I was on to something. I suck..........I want a lemon to suck on............. Maybe tomorrow after I'm amped with coffee and don't mind sweating profusely only my guitars, I'll jam out a couple of things. Just hope if I do someone listens to it (whether they like it or not) |

The 50% off sale on Recabinet 3 ended after the 7th, but due to popular demand, we restarted it tonight and it will be running until the end of the month. Thanks for the great feedback, panning is still on the list of upcoming feature updates by the way.
Again, the sale is has been restarted and is running until the end of the month now. |

Amon I'm enjoying the RedWirez 2x12" mixed with the 4x12" models along with some old impulses i have from using TTD ColorTone Pro, What I do and it might be worth a try for you guys whom do not mind chaining up, The free version of Torpedo 2 with the mic'd cab section bypassed then using it as a power-amp thing along with VoS ThrillseekerLA set to mild compression with almost no range with the intersection stage and transformer switched in for even more cheap power-amp-like thrills - IRs to suit, I usually use my JMP-1 or Blackstar HT-5's send but it should work just as good for any pre-amp models ITB, Swap RedWirez for your Recabinet 3.1.0 hibidy and just give anything a try. It gets me alot of the feel of a missing valve power-amp back. Might be worth some extra routing/insert hassle zerocrossings man just incase you hit pay dirt...You'll never know until you have tried Dean ---- Shit For Blood, Piss For Brains |

Thanks for the tip, Dean, worth a try as I'm presently comparing heads, cabs, stomps, etc. Gosh, I spend days comparing amp sims, EQs and comps I've got the free version of Torpedo a while back, but never got into it, to be honest, but was good nonetheless. The power-amp section can indeed make the difference...I'm eager to know what Ignite Amps come up with in that regard, but will try Torpedo in the meanwhile. |

Oh are the Ignite Mosher's brewing up a another storm? If so good to hear. As said just junk the 1 cab and 1 mic in the Torpedo free version and it use your own and it becomes alot more useable. I have even used it as an exciter/EQ/compressor on drums with sucess fwiw, The exciter is really darn good on it as is the sole EL-34 power-amp model that is supplied gratis. I'll be off this damned laptop that I am literally scraping by on for rough ideas only in a week or two so will be power-fiddling with alot of stuff I have to demo/rinse to thier full potential with a machine that can handle it no problems...It will be sweet, I'm excited about it to say the least and sure will be pleased to put this laptop back to general mundane use and the odd portable setup when needed I got a ton to catch up with! Yes, but it seems it'll take a while to get it out the door (check the GAM link) : http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4826259 |

I almost forgot that Phoenix Rising through the years... I used to listen to Annihilator quite a bit (mostly the debut) and I feel ashamed to admit I didn't skip that song when listening to "Set the World on Fire" |

Well... when I tried the Free version I didn't get it. I thought it was a joke, it just sounded bad. Then I tried the iLok full demo and it was a different world. Anyway.... Make sure to turn the VARIPHI knob, that's when the magic starts! Also try these Impulses, they are wonderful: http://cabs.kalthallen.de/ Interesting. I was able to get some decent sounds out of it and although I didn't need it, I was curious about the amp section emulation. On my list of possibilities for the future is to get a valve tube preamp to use with recording and use something like Torpedo afterwards. I have a question though. I tried the link you posted and it wouldn't load or play, but it drove me to your site. I see you list the Axe FX in your list of gear. http://www.two-notes.com/en/software/torpedo-pi-101-v2/ Interesting plugin. With some tweaking, I was able to get some nice tones. But good lord: the CPU hit on some of the presets is HUGE. Jumped up to close to 75%. Also, what's with the tiny fonts? ---- "Time makes fools of us all. Our only comfort is that greater shall come after us." Room ambience can be easily added with a small sized reverb behind the convolver.

//edit: I posted this more than 24 hours ago. Sorry for the lack of context. Gotcha. I did read it the first time, but I would hope to find a solution that didn't involve loading a whole bunch of vsts. That's why I do like packages like Amplitube, Guitar Rig or TH1. Load it up and all my toys are there... S-Gear is getting better, though no reverb or ambience control at all and lack of tempo synced delay makes the delay a pita to use. My complaint with Amplitube is that, while I think the room ambiance in in the cab section is good, I find all the reverb solutions to be poor to OK. The only usable reverb is the Fender rack reverb IMO. The issue is I'm not a big spring reverb guy even when they're good. I've mentioned this in other threads but it seems like anything over a .7 and you're signal is drenched. Anyway, it's why I'm hesitant to start monkeying around with convolution plugs. My list goes from 1 amp sim package VST too, an effects plug in for stomps, an amp sim, a cab sim and post effects and or reverb. Can't I just have everything I want all the time like I want it?! ---- Zerocrossing Media http://www.zerocrossing.net 4th Law of Robotics: When turning evil, display a red indicator light. ~[ ●_● ]~ |

Just hope if I do someone listens to it (whether they like it or not) No Hibidy, you don't suck, but you do point to what's probably a huge issue for developers, and that's all the different tastes out there, coupled with different guitar, string gauges, audio interfaces, monitors. It's pretty staggering. Maybe I was doing something wrong? The audio demos on the site sounded good. It could have been simply that the AT amps are voiced to go with their cab sounds and maybe I'd have done better using S-Gear. Don't give up hope on yourself Hib.
