I have been testing, re-testing and re-re-testing, but Apple's PackageMaker is a lot of fun (and frustration).
So, can anyone confirm Corona R4 Mac Demo installs correctly on his DAW? Thanks. |

I'm on 10.6.7 and it installed just fine. I loaded it into Live8 without incident. However, I did not try to play it because I might like it and then have to buy it. So I deleted it (j/k) I'll check it out (with the new filter stuff later)

I'm on 10.7.4
... am having the same issues as when I tried out the Discovery demo installer for you George. Neither VST or AU are found in Kore2 or Maschine (64 & 32 bit) after scanning. They'll open in Studio One and Ableton Live but when I try to load a preset that needs a wav file it tells me it's missing. Alan |

Alan, maybe it's related to Kore2 or Maschine looking for Corona stuff at System wide locations instead user home. Not a simple issue to solve I think Better discuss this thru PM. |

The permissions may be getting set wrong. I've had a similar issue with Synthmaster and I understand this is one of the biggest irritations of PackageMaker in that it's hard to get permissions set up for the current user. I tend to notice it because my regular UID on this machine is 504 with a GID of 504, not the usual post-Tiger default of UID=501, GID=20. People who have used Migration Assistant in the past tend to wind up with a UID that isn't 501, which means you can end up with stuff installed for "Unknown User" if there isn't a script to fix up the UID to the current user after PackageMaker does the copy.
The upshot is that OS X can get confused because the files aren't assigned to the current user or to their group. There is one other issue, the plugins themselves are being installed as user=root and group=wheel which may or may not be causing some issues. The bank 2 presets are claiming that Voices.dwb/uuuu.sf2 is missing. There is no Voices.dwb file or folder that I can find in the Corona waves and stuff folder. Finally, is this Corona 4? While checking the package contents in Pacifist, I noticed that it says Corona 3.1 and files such as Info.plist date back to January. As I can't find the switch for the 0DF filter, I'm wondering if this is correct. As it installed to the system folders, I'm assuming I've got the newest release. |

That was a small mistake on a single preset and it's fixed on a new installer. It should be ready in 5 minutes. |
