Just recently bought a Blofeld and when I set it up in Ableton I have to have a delay compensation of 43ms WTF. Has any body got a way to get it smaller. Oh and I just have the Blofeld running from blofeld to effects unit to sound card and the sound card has a latency of about 7-8ms. I know in other DAW's its instant but Ableton is my DAW of choice so any help would be great.

The SOS article doesn't account for the midi latency(what time it takes for the midi-device to send it's message and the synth to receive it and act on it). It can vary quite a bit. You'd be better of at checking this visually from the audio recorded. Though it doesn't need to be spot on all the time. |
