Hey Guys,
I will soon be converting over to Logic Pro and recently I have been looking at a few different third party sampler / drum machine options. I would like to get some feedback from people in similar works paces and how also use some of these plugins and how they find them in general. Mainly when working with loops I like to be able to slice these to individual midi hits. I use what is available to me in Logic currently but I am reading more and more about how programs like Reycle excel at this particular task and generally speeding up workflow in this area in particular. Some options I have looking at aside from Geist and Recycle were NI Battery 3 and FXpansion Geist. Any people on here work with any of these programs and can attest for how they generally get on with them slicing their loops down to midi hits? Mainly I have been researching Logic Pro and getting to learn the operations of the ESX24 and Ultrabeat and along with the native Logic tools finding and reading so far the options included for slicing up midi generally isn't as precise as with for example Recycle. Any suggestions from users in similar situations on this particular area and the tools they use and recommend for the task. Do some people still find, as I have read, that the ESX24 is still one of the easiest ways to go for this. Generally out of the box what do people find is the one of the most precise ways to chop fast loops up and assigned to individual midi notes? Is there one third party program recommended more than the others in this area? Thanks guys for any help and insight here. |
