Using Win7Pro X64. The increased performance, primarily from using the ssd drive...has saved Acid Pro 7. I can only describe the difference as night and day. With AP7 I use the Large Address Aware patch and it looks like the "virtual memory possible" reading does go from 2gb to 4gb but I have never tried to benchmark it. I had applied the patch in XP32 with 4gb ram and it went from 2gb to 3325 so it does work as far as the readings go. Anyways the music...once the new Dell was up and running things went fast. I mainly use NI Komplete 6, Arturias-2600/CS80/MMV, V-Station and OPX synths. Some of the samples were edited with Turbosynth in OS9 in the Sheepshaver emulator. Time consuming but very fun. Mixing and mastering I use the PSP Xenon and McQ, Loudmax and the default sony track eq in Acid. Lots of Camel Crusher. All vox gets the SSL Listen Mic Compressor. I use Cubase SE 1 for the vocoder although it does work in AP7. The tracks in the download link sound a bit better than the dl links on the soundcloud page. cheers-aexe *some basic turbosynth sample packs- http://theabdication.blogspot.com/2011/11/turbosynth-oscilla tor-waveforms-for.html http://theabdication.blogspot.com/2011/11/turbosynth-samples -for-absynth-and.html |
