I am using Camelspace as an effects module in Reaper (Mac). It's loaded as an effect on the same track as a custom drum kit in Kontakt 5 player. Camelsace is set to the drum preset "Flangespeaker." The problem is that every time I start to record the Camespace preset jumps to the last one on the drum list (X-Y Make Dub) or the last preset on the Default lis (Lazer War). I have 2 other virtual instrument tracks armed and all tracks are being controlled by Nodal, with each midi signal from Nodal outputting on a different channel. I have run out of ideas, so if anybody could help solve this problem I would greatly appreciate it. |

Hi,
CamelSpace will process MIDI program change messages to change presets, so that's the first thing to check: is there a program change message embedded in the MIDI clip? (check in the MIDI editor view, select "Program" from the list of MIDI CC commands in the lower half of the editor display). If there is a program change message intended for Kontakt or some other FX plugin then CamelSpace could be receiving it also. I'm not sure how to fix this in Reaper other than putting CamelSpace on a separate track (so that it never sees the MIDI from the main channel) and routing the audio to the track containing CS. Less likely is that Reaper is sending a reset message on transport stop or start. I don't think Reaper would be sending MIDI program change messages in this context, but it's possible. Peace, Andy. |
