seems like an amazing little host for windows users for the money..

also seems to be a jack of all trades but master of none though...

kind of a catch 22..

seems to have everything but then i read things like michi_mak's comment

!! also seems the only way to legally get the defunct kjaerhus classic series.

the flanger in that was my favorite "quick to dial the right sound in" EVER.

i still don't feel there is a competitor for mac.

Uhbik F ultimately sounds better and is probably the world's best flanger plugin but it IS alot more complicated

You know the screenies look impressive and it is reaper pricerange but with cheap cheap upgrades.

The gui looks alot friendlier than reaper though.

I'm going to try it out for my bootcamp partition, what the heck!

I can vouch right now and say it ISN'T the master at anyone thing but user friendliness. I have yet to of found a heavy performing software that is as well designed in layout and friendliness as Mixcraft.

However, michi_mak is right. The new version does seem a bit buggy, as I was working on a song last night after upgrading to see what the new functions are like and it crashed on several occasions. If you want to get a feel for Mixcraft, I would recommend demoing Mixcraft 5 since it is stable. The interface of 5 isn't as sleek looking, but it is set up the same as Mixcraft 6.

Mixcraft's video features are pretty impressive. I didn't particularly like the audio workflow but I don't think I'm the target audience.

Nice product, especially for that kinda money. Good deal.

P.S. You kinda get a feel for the base audience by looking at their web page where they remind potential buyers that the things you need to make music are optional... Smile

.. but it's a fine product with (apparently) good developers.

I am sure they will fix it imminently.

michi probably a good idea to write to acoustica about it as soon as you can..

will benefit everyone and i have heard they are ok to deal with.
Still seems an amazing deal for what you get.

havent finished setting up bootcamp yet so can't confirm or deny any bugs or therefor even send an email to acoustica as i have nothing to actually report, otherwise i would do it

A very good product. I have had no problems with it. I have been using it for about a month now. Dead easy to learn and use. If you want a DAW that doesn't have a very steep learning curve, then I would recommend Mixcraft 6.

I think they are still included on the Computer Music cover disc each month, which is cheaper than mixcraft 6, doesn't crash, and is great for wiping your arse on.
