hello all,

are there any plugs that allow me to change the character\tone of the human voice, besides rovee \ kerovee ? the thing is, i've got this vocals...wich i like...but sound so "mickey mouse" Very Happy ...i want to make those vocals darker without pitching down the samples. rovve allows me that by shifting formants but the audio gets very clicky and glitchy. i'm aware that there are no magic formant shifters ....but is there anything better than rovee \ kerovee ?

thanks.

Melda MAutopitch has some decent formant stuff, I don't know if it will help though. I like it when I use the autotuning.

Ircam Trax, especially aimed at vocal pitch/tone/character changes.

I've never seen a free plugin of this type, as it's not really a traditional tool (EQ, comp, verb, etc).

I picked up Antares Avox throat for cheap @ audiomidi. $29, but requires ilok (demo doesn't though). Way cheaper than the Flux stuff, not sure if it compares though.

Should also mention the Antares also has artifacts in the form of a whistling sound. It can be avoided when doing realistic tweaks.
