I have tried looking around the internet for a list of sounds that comes with the Alchemy Pro Mobile app. I am desperately looking around for pads and ethereal sounds. Alchemy is great for this. I have been playing around with Alchemy Player (on PC) and found some usable sounds that are not in Alchemy Mobile Free. Is there somewhere I can get a list of the sounds included in the Alchemy Pro Mobile to know if these sounds will become available when I upgrade?

I listened to the Audio Demos from "Luftrum: Ambient" and it blew me away. I'll throw in my voice to recommend adding this as a download for Alchemy Mobile.

Thanks!

Hi,

A list of presets included with the various downloads and in-app purchases for Alchemy Mobile is available here. [Edit] The list of Mobile Sound Libraries has now been updated.

To answer your question: we haven't released all of the Alchemy sound libraries for Alchemy Mobile yet, so Luftrum: Ambient is not available. The closest Mobile sound library for pads and similar sounds is probably the Cinematic bank.

However, with the Pro Upgrade it is possible to install any Alchemy or Alchemy Player sound library for use with Alchemy Mobile, if you own a license for the full version of the sound library. Most presets should work, but have not been optimised for use on iOS so you may need to do a bit of tweaking e.g. to reduce the number of voices. The Luftrum: Ambient bank is not particularly heavy on CPU, so it should run OK.

Peace,
Andy.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. That list is VERY helpful. Thanks. It actually looks like there are sounds available on Alchemy Mobile that are not part of Alchemy Player. There are a few sounds in Alchemy Player (Hither and Zither, for example) that I would love to have on the Alchemy Player.

I had read on your site how it's possible to get sounds over to the iPad (as you mention above), but there was no link describing how to do it and a line stating "Details of the process will be added here soon". Is this still a possibility at this point? I would be THRILLED if I could push across some of the sounds I like that are not in Alchemy Mobile.

Regarding Cinematic, it definitely has some sounds I would love to use, but how do we know which sounds will come with Alchemy Mobile? At one time, I remember reading the audio demos through the iPad were going to be specific to the iPad sounds. Has that been done? An audio demo may have one or two sounds that are just perfect for me, but I just don't know if the sounds will come with the Mobile version.

Hi,

I've just updated the list of Mobile presets so that all the available Mobile Sound Libraries are included, and to correct a few minor mistakes. The new list is available here.

That's correct - some of the sounds available with Alchemy Mobile are not included with Alchemy Player. The presets we chose for Alchemy Mobile are optimised for iOS, and some presets from the desktop version won't work at all e.g. there is no spectral engine in Alchemy Mobile because the CPU is not powerful enough.

The FAQ entry for transferring Alchemy Sound Libraries to Alchemy Mobile has also been updated. Note that you will need to transfer the Alchemy Player version of the sound library so that all required samples are included.

The current audio demos are for the full or Player version of the sound libraries, so it is correct to assume that some sounds may not be included with the Mobile version. So far we have received very few complaints about this, so I can only assume that users have been happy with the presets that are included.

Peace,
Andy.

I purchased Cinematic after it was split into two sound sets (I bought both, they are in my account for download for Windows).. Alchemy for iOS isn't showing that as a free download.

Is there a chance that Himalaya Vintage will be done for iOS?

Thanks, Doug

Hi Doug,

The "Cinematic" sound library is not the same as the Cinematic Impacts and Atmospheres sound libraries, that's why it's not showing up as a download.

All sound libraries will be converted to Mobile format eventually, but in the case of signature sound sets we need the permission of the sound designer. That said, I'm sure Himalaya would be happy to see his sounds on iOS and Vintage is would be an excellent choice to convert next Smile

Peace,
Andy.

Thanks for the explanation, Andy. I just assumed they were the same because of the name.

I can hope that Himalaya is up for converting his set!

Doug
