I get unwanted sustain with midi modules..the default bass synthesizer rack. I simply unplugged the controller..but still there is a signal..and the note keeps playing. It will stop sometimes when I hit another note on the controller. I wonder what this could be?

Maybe you recorded one?
Maybe you loaded a MIDI file with sustain events in it?

If you unplugged the controller between "Note On" and "Note Off" events being sent, maybe you've an infinitely long note recorded?

I tried setting the YouRock guitar's notes to "automatic off". this means when you pick the next note, the old one automatically shuts off. I am using the Basic Synthesizer rack. Eventually, the note dies when I hit something else. I am fiddling with the YouRock controller's settings.

It is set to MIDI "mono" setting. I am not using a midi file, but exploring the instruments, and the VST instruments I downloaded.

If no one else has this problem, then it has got to be a setting on the YouRock. I can still play stuff on it, but when I finish a phrase, the note keeps on going.

On a "real guitar", if you pluck a note, it keep sounding until it fades away. That sounds like the effect you're describing. Many samplers can be set to ignore "Note Off" events; they require an explicit mute event to stop a sound that's in progress. Good luck finding the cause/fix! Smile

I figured the sustain thing out.. now I want to be able to work the volume control for swells of the YouRock guitar like a regular.. "real" guitar. It is set to MIDI MONO mode.

Hi there. I'm having similar unwanted sustain issues when using my YRG controller with the soft synths in Logic and I was wondering how you resolved the case?

Maybe it would help a bit to figure out the settings if you would get Kontakt player and see if the stand alone version and VSTi plugin loaded in MuLab react the same.
