Its your software, you do what pleases you. If people dont like it, they can lump it. Something to do with owners Privileges. I dont agree with the adbars but it is your software so knock yourself out. there is another saying "Dont look a gifthorse in the mouth" It is free so i guess if people like it in the end, thanks should be in order |

I don't believe you've missed how much audio software is payware or donationware so I can only assume your comment is some strange form of political propaganda. If a program is free, it's freeware. If you want to make money of it then it will not be that, it's really that simple. Do I really have to make this point? If you expect donations, it's not freeware, it's donationware. If you want to make money by ads etc, it's not freeware. Etc etc. Again, if it's freeware, it's free and nothing more. Just be straight about it. Or is going against selling something under false pretenses communistic? |

I think if it would be called adware instead of freeware, the whole discussion would be obsolete. If some of my free plugins have limitations (like a nagscreen), I am saying that clearly. Otherwise my free plugins are just free plugins. I know that voluntary donations are 1 on 5000 downloads, so that's a pipe dream. But this toolbar crap in free software is becoming a real annoying thing, and the options to decline them where easy to overlook in your installer. Your are not going to make friends with this, I think - is it worth the small fee from the toolbar companies?

My plugins are free. without money. but will have a toolbar. I have never received donations. Many musicians do not have the money to another plug. but they have the ability to remove the toolbar. knowing that by doing so say thanks to the developer. good plug-ins to make an interesting sound for a long time. needed not obvious algorithm. and help give strength to do even better.
I was very pleased when people write me that they had found the sound that they need because of my plugins. I like it when they send me a demo sounds. when expressing ideas about what they would like to see the new. and I was not very nice to ask for money plug. although some of them are paid. But if you do not receive the return on your hobby. and the return is very rare. |
