Time to vote for your top 5 tracks. All tracks are here.
RULES: - Give 5 points to the track you think is best, 4 for second, then 3, 2 and 1. - Voting is open to anyone. - Last day for voting is 15th June (KVR time). - If you have entered in the competition, you must vote to be eligible for prizes. - No voting for yourself. - Voters must have had 20 prior forum posts before start of the voting period, or participated in this month's contest. - In the case of equal scores after voting, entries will be separated by how many 5 pts they got, then 4 pts and so on. Votes can be changed before deadline, but must be made as a new post and clearly show it's a change of vote in order that it gets noticed. HOW TO VOTE: You should allocate your votes, in a single post, in this thread ... something like this: Artist zxy - Track zxy: 5 Artist xqy - Track xqy: 4 Artist zyx - Track zyx: 3 Artist zqx - Track zqx: 2 Artist qzx - Track qzx: 1 NOTE: Reviews, however brief, are always welcome. Even if you can only find the time to add a short comment, then please do! ...it keeps the thread alive and encourages others to listen/vote. It is real hard issue to chose only five tracks. I was not able to reach even ten tracks so far... |

I know, it seems to get harder with every competition but is really only a sign of better tracks |

There's plenty of very good music in this OSC. It was really hard for me to pick out 5 top tracks and sort them from 1st place to the 5th one. Respect to everyone. Here's the list:
>>> 5 pts >>> Skyzone - Augur Goes Slower Your compositions are getting better and better from contest to contest. I especially like this track for its dynamics, fitting the melody with percussions accents, great sounds, keeping listener's attention from beginning to the end. Excellent work. I liked your other tracks too. >>> 4 pts >>> Cactoos - Edification Simply beautiful. No other comment is needed. Very well structured from intro-main part-outro and all parts are very consistent. Fantastic sounds including drums. >>> 3 pts >>> Pulse Width Modulation - Breaking The Bounds Of Earth Top intro built of evolving sounds created distant mood. The main part nicely contrasted to the beginning and the ending. >>> 2 pts >>> Evo2slo - Animated Dust This piece shows your characteristic affirmative atmosphere in music. The song grows and develops. The drums are varied, eventful and they have power. >>> 1 pt >>> Irion Da Ronin - Crystalline Waters Epic and majestic. Exeptional metallic sound created. I liked the brasses in back melody. Honorable mentions: SuperNoise (very good groove), Bzur (stunning main theme), Dwringer (experiments), r0z (raw, mechanical timbre). Thank you for challenge. Bye for now. |

Hi AirDuern, thank you for your vote. But I have a quick procedural comment. I don't remember seeing your name among the contributors this month, and it seems that this is your first post at the KVR forum. I believe you need to have at least 20 posts prior to the beginning of the voting period to qualify to vote. |

I've had a good listen and managed to make my top 10 and top 5.
Here are my votes: 1. Adagiocm - Vectorial Elation - 5p (great synth sound, and vangelissy) 2. Skyzone - Augur Goes Slower - 4p (nice tune... nice to my mind) 3. Doc Jon - The Long Journey - 3p (also on my mind after I hear it) 4. SuperNoise - Nostalgia - 2p (great sound design) 5. Photonic - Levitation - 1p (great variety of stuff) I'm out of points, but will go on with HM 6. Pulse Width Modulation - Breaking The Bounds Of Earth (epic) 7. Irion Da Ronin - Crystalline Waters (nice mood and nice FX) 8. Cactoos - Edification 9. Bzur - I Have No Clue 10. Yeager - No Room For Space |

1. Cactoos - Edification (5 pts)
The most musical and emotional piece of all in this compo. Interesting sounds and catchy melody. Good song arrangement. Unique in it's own way. 2. Photonic - Levitation (4 pts) Very clean mix, every sound is polished and well placed. Great beginning. The song has an unique vibe, it's like a day dream music. However, the lead melody could be more complex and characteristic. Even if I enjoyed the song I can't remember the melody afterwards. 3. AdagioCm - Vectorial Elation (3 pts) The sweetest one 4. Pulse Width Modulation - Breaking the Bounds of Earth (2 pts) I like the ambient-techno style of this track. It's enjoyable. The only thing that needs more work is filter cutoff synchronisation on chords starting at 1:50. Nonetheless, nice track. 5. jackoo - Banjo Schizophrenia (Augur OSC) (1 pts) One point for an interesting idea. Well, looks like my post doesn't count because I don't have enough posts. Oh well |
