I hate Live, but it loves me. Can't do anything about it. ---- Wonder whether my advice worth a penny? Check my music at Soundcloud and decide for yourself. re:vibe and Loki Fuego @ Soundcloud |

FORGET IT WITH A POWERCORE if you do ANY kind of automation or sample accurate editing. https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=160107 ---- Please call me Theo. |

i know a lot of people, that struggle switching from cubase to live..including myself, somehow for me live fails on simple things, like midi and audio editing :/ |

Live would be great if it had a decent midi editor and the ability to record live automation in the session view - without that I have no use for it with plugins as I always record what I play Live and never create automation separately from my playing, although it's usable for playing with sampled clips in a less linear way. It's ironic that an app called Live can't actually record live playing fully in its flagship mode. If Live 9 had these features I would probably buy it again, for now I'm content with Intro. ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() |

Love the Sampler! I can spend the whole day on it and create entire tracks with it alone. And the racks are just awesome.
The piano roll needs better line divisions, makes me dizzy..... force me to finish the work in S1 ---- MuLab 4, Studio One v2. In that order. |

Which is what I was saying. No point in doing it in arrange when I have other sequencers that can do the same - what is different in Live is the session view. ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() |

Ableton Live would be great if it actually gave me any benefit to using it over Logic... but it doesn't because I don't need it any of it's "live" functions such as session view considering I do everything live with Traktor. Ableton Live will never be a solution that offers on-the-fly DJing, eg. NOT planning your set ahead of time.
If you're using a sequencer just for production, storing midi files or audio files on tracks for auditioning later is the same exact thing. Absolutely no use for Live here. I'm happy to do all production in one sequencer, no need for two sequencers or more messing up workflow. ---- Analog synth or plugin? The elitists go silent when a blind test is involved. |

I got Live over the weekend during the sale they were doing and I love it also. I agree with many who say its a great sketch pad and creative app. I am not enjoying mixing stuff with it. I am going to figure out to send stems from it and then likely mix in Sonar X1 or do so in Reason 6.5 |
