well im demoing it atm again, and i added some phaser, reverb, bitcrusher etc.
what do you think? original sample: http://www40.zippyshare.com/v/51750824/file.html a note only hold down: http://www6.zippyshare.com/v/43566283/file.html Last edited by Caine123 on Sat Jun 09, 2012 8:24 am; edited 3 times in total |

It's working now via the embedded SoundCloud widget on zippyshare.
Anyway - this sounds like an excellent drone. The original sample cannot be recognised at all. I take it the instructions from the drone thread worked out well? Peace, Andy. |

Peace, Andy. thanks Andy no i didnt check the tutorial now, but will do later today as i wanted to just plain test simple granular options by just turning the knobs of attack (high) release (high) and the stretching to nearly zero, -12 cents and reverb + bit of distortion and 3rd party plugins with slow flanger another reverb and slight bitcrusher i didnt do much but got this final product and it sounds fluid without artifacts, WOW! i hope to understand your tutorial you posted some time ago and will give feedback |

now im trying to learn modulating with lfos and used 1 sample and copied and varied it in source B and C.
and i automated some external effects like chorus, slow flanger, reverb and eq bands. http://www65.zippyshare.com/v/86172748/file.html what you think? a good start? |

Yes, that's sounding good, it evolves nicely all the way through.
(IMHO) there are some frequencies that need to be tamed in the mid-range - it's a bit "resonant" if that makes sense (too many frequencies building up). Since it's not my patch or samples, and I don't know the FX chain I am not sure how you would fix this but an EQ cut or notch filter on the output would be a good place to start. Peace, Andy. |

Peace, Andy. thanks a lot for the constructive feedback, made it before i went to bed my alchemy rack is like that (one question, can each source like A,B C & D have a different effectchannel? this would be great cause i didnt want to use distortion for all sources in one instance delay1 acoustic reerb 3rd party in another mixer channel: EQ Chorus Phaser EQ Delay EQ Limiter (to make the sound louder without changing it) i used many eqs so i can fine tune more after effects hehe, maybe it's not good. |

There is only 1 effects rack, but there is no shortage of distortion if you need it.
The filter section in each source has 3 filters per source, with the basic LP / HP / BP filters + ring modulation, mech and tube distortion filters. This makes it possible to drive the sound in to the main filters quite hard. Using one of the analogue modelled HQ main filters, you should be able to get a pretty phat sound before hitting the FX rack. Peace, Andy. |

ok one for the night again, a 3rd drone, i dunno why it pops at a few points though hope you still enjoy, again only one small sample in 3 sources varied. work time around 10 - 15 mins. http://www38.zippyshare.com/v/1924532/file.html |

This new drone sounds great - all of the resonance problems from the 2nd one are now gone. It's a nice journey through sound.
I don't know why there would be a popping sound, you need to check the modulation sources and also the sample loop points (I will answer your other thread now). Peace, Andy. |

played around with a metal percussion and created some drone with it + used the percussion for some rhythm.
