Hello,
Is there a consensus as to what is currently considered the best sample virtual instrument for vocals? I'm looking for one that meets the following criteria: - 1 sample every 1-2 notes at maximum (e.g. 1 sample for C1 and C#1, another sample for D1 and D#2 etc. or one for each semitone, but not one sample for three or more semitones). - Solo voices (a single person singing) - Choir (multiple people singing in unison) - All natural pitch ranges - Children (ideally both girls and boys) and adults - Round-robin samples - Short vowel sounds as well as long loops (ideally with Loop-Until-Release) - Separate banks for soft/moderate timbres (or, alternatively, decent velocity layers). Is there such a plugin? Thank you. |

Kontakt has a very nice choir and vocal section. Also, Tone2 released a Vocalic soundset for Saurus which sounds great, but's more modern. |

For choir the best are:
Voxos http://cinesamples.com/products/voxos/ Mars / Venus / Requim light http://www.soundiron.com/instruments/choirs/ Liberis http://8dio.com/?btp_product=liberis For children's choir the only one I can think of is: Giovani http://www.beladmedia.com/giovani-edition/ For solo voices the best is probably: Realivox http://realitone.com/ |

let's not forget east west's amazing symphonic choir expanded edition, then throw their voices of passion on top and it's insane! ---- Upping my count for Kingston |

Voices of Passion has been flogged to death and is mostly phrases. Not much use to the OP I think. |

With a light adjustment with Mutator, you can change the sound of the voice. These two open the possiblity of different vocals and phrases being sung, from the original phrase. I'll create a video to show what I mean. |

Using Mutator Evo and Melodyne to increase your phrases on your vocal library, in this example, Native Voice from BelaD.

8dio Forgotten Voices is one of the best series for solos but it is limited/specialized.
I would like to see something more soulful along the lines of Great Gig In The Sky. Choirs from children to monks are a dime a dozen it seems. |
