No, I'm not serious about getting it......just an observation. Seems allot of people who use it really like it. The demos sound very nice, it's not really more than other synths.....it's even x64!
But it looks like it's been quite some time since it was updated, hardly anyone talks about it anymore so I'm just wondering what the thoughts are on if it's not up to snuff, something wrong with it, etc. Seems like it sounds terrific |

I saw the interview with DJ Frankel on Pensado's Place yesterday - and he praised Sylenth as the goto synth and there is so much you can do with it. |

sylenth1 has been my go-to synth for a while (despite being my only 32bit AU in logic, and despite it not having been updated since maybe 1852...). AND i have a ridiculous library of soundbanks for it.
i have some new plugins, and they're taking over. but S1 is STILL great, and i'll use it for a long time to come (or until logic no longer has a 32bit bridge...). for what it is, S1 is a gem. |

Yea I'm kinda of wanting to get it too. I remember years ago enjoying the demos presets a lot, but the demo was very restrictive for tweaking anything. Might get it someday. |

I've been tempted to buy it the sound is different to zebra and Diva not quite as good but different and good enough. After Slate VTM I think I might buy it. |

What are the best downloadable/commercial soundsets for it ? I own it but never got round to programming it decently! Yes a Modern classic. There are many Sylenth programming examples and...a Master Class in the latest CM Dub step special. Not bad for a synth that hasn't been updated since 1852 Some personal favorites here: http://refx.com/products/vengeance/soundsets/ http://www.lelotusbleu.fr/catalog/index.php?cPath=1_26 http://www.xenossoundworks.com/Sylenth.html http://www.arksun-sound.com/products.html http://www.adamszabo.com/sylenth1-soundset-part-3/ http://bluffmunkey.co.uk/?page_id=147 http://www.roblee-music.com/#/soundsets/4561650188 165 Sylenth soundsets on sale right now and available here: http://www.producerloops.com/Sylenth-Sounds/?sort=add_date&s ort_direction=1 Commercial Soundbanks listed in the Lennardigital forum: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=241237 ---- If you read the constitution, You hear better http://soundcloud.com/section-d-records www.soundclick.com/theresistanceband |

not sure why everyone complains about it not being updated. if the sound is good the sound is good. it works in all hosts and 32/64 bit. minimoog is still the same as it was in 1973 you don't hear people complaining about a minimoog update. ---- Has anybody ever really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |

not so much about the sound, as about 'modern compatibility' (i just made that phrase up).
1. all my other plugs are now 64bit; if Logic X no longer supports 32bit plugs...i'm done. 2. even the last version, a beta, works...EXCEPT on lion and logic. 3. just looking for, at the least, compatibility. whatever strengths or weaknesses S1 has...i love it, it's my ugly GF... |

Yeah, if you are on mac and it's not lion compatible, that is pretty bad.
@updates: If it hasn't been updated since 2008, that is a red flag for a buyer. I'm not saying it won't work or that I wouldn't be happy with it, but it's hard to believe that it stopped dead cold. |
