Just out of curiosity Caine, why do you exactly need a pitchshifter plugin for drones? Just curious to know you thoughts here cause I a drone lover/fan myself, I don't see the pitchshifter as an essential tool to create drones and long deep pads. ---- __________________________________________________ http://soundcloud.com/red-fog http://soundcloud.com/sleeping-on-lotus-ashes http://landofthedrones.blogspot.ca/ __________________________________________________ |

yes and i spend some time with it but somehow i mostly find it fiddly and dont know what is what, pardon me :/ i use some ensembles there which are better understandable which were included like the one (i dont remember the name) with mallets etc. very nice. The problem with Reaktor is that other than the included effects and instrument's a mixed bag. Even great ones don't conform to any UI conventions and are just designed by and for the author. However, there are some awesome ones. I returned Discord because I thought some were as good if not better. Check out Blackbird. http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?id=userlibrary&typ e=0&ulbr=1&plview=detail&patchid=5196 It's super good. Take some time to learn it and it'll be worth it. ---- Zerocrossing Media http://www.zerocrossing.net 4th Law of Robotics: When turning evil, display a red indicator light. ~[ ●_● ]~ |

All those pitch-shifters around are granular and not good for drones IMO, turns your smooth operator into a broken robot. Works for glitch, but spoils a drone. The best by far is SpectralMonkeyage, which is FFT and consumes a lot of power, but it's smooth at extreme settings, you can push pitch 2 octaves without getting the vocoder feel. I'm yet to demo DMG one and I didn't try elastique, which is just too expensive. |

Why not try out PaulStretch? No VST but excellent for Drones.
