I'm totally midi challenged... i notice from just plugging the mini in some of the controls map to a few settings in alchemy. i'd be highly appreciative of anyone who has preset settings to share... |

I don't have an MPK so can't help with a template, but I'll explain about MIDI learn which will help you take control of the Alchemy parameters the way you want.
The reason some of the controls are responding to the MPK is most likely because MIDI CC / MIDI learn values are assigned to those controls. First, you can clear all the assignments by selecting File -> MIDI Unlearn All in Alchemy. There is also a MIDI Unlearn option for each control on the Alchemy GUI. To set up MIDI Learn for a specific control, right-click the control and select "MIDI Learn" from the menu. Move a controller on the MPK and the CC number will be assigned. This will be saved in the Midimap.txt file in the Alchemy folder so that it works in the future. It's best to create a single instance of Alchemy in your host, setup the MIDI learned controls and then quit the host so that the MIDI map file is updated once (it's global to all instances of Alchemy). If you have any question just ask. Peace, Andy. |
