Oh, wow, rubber keyboards.
Finally. Something I hate more than touch-typing on a screen. Doesn't that skewed Logo on the frame bother any of you? Looks terribly awkward to me. Nothing I'd want to stare at any longer than I just did. ---- TINY METAL IMPACT - UPDATE Mar 1st '13 - available for Kontakt 4.2+ I guess one could call lead poisoning an ironic death. |

@chokehold, that's not really smart thing indeed. It will look messed up when used on portrait mode.
Plus: - No pricing. - No battery life specs. - Back support = mobile part = will end breaking or messing up. - 1 Kg weight. iPad 3 is only 680 gr. - No 3G connectivity. I don't know where this thing is going to fit. I'd rather get a MacBook Air instead and run Windows on it. |

Don't forget that the bigger version is an Core i5 Ivy Bridge CPU! This is a bit different story than the Arm based iPad (A5X).
The Arm based Tablets have similar weight as stated by T-CM11. Battery-life is of course the interesting question |

You compare it with an iPad. Can you use Logic, or AU's on an iPad? No? Oh, it must be useless then. So, correct comparison = iPad (A5(X)) vs Surface (ARM) Last edited by T-CM11 on Tue Jun 19, 2012 5:37 am; edited 1 time in total |

Metro doesn't support MIDI input so it's useless for audio apps. Metro isn't the OS, it's the interface. These things run Windows 8. so how is Windows 8 behaving with audio latency and MIDI and all the other things needed for music applications ? ---- new Dusk to Dawn Song ! The active cooling system must not be wrong. For this you get the power to run some more stuff and yes, it goes a bit in the direction of a Ultrabook. But this could fill the gap between iPad <-> Ultrabook. IMO a good idea. |
