Irion Da Ronin - Origin of Harmony

Irion Da Ronin - Origin of Harmony

Click on image to download it, or feel free to go to Soundcloud to drop some lines. Thanks.

The aliens use an strange luminous machines and sinewaved lasers to make strange atmospheric effects and harmonic sounds.
Their hands mess with these lights and the brain creates the origin of harmonies, just with the imagination.
There is no rhythm in their compositions. Just frequencies and subtle melodies, which also are above the human understanding and perception.
You, humans, can't listen all these multicoloured and silver frequencies.
Aliens enjoy the sound source itself, instead of a whole composition. Which is usually random.
They use this musical instrument to meditate, and to get into the comprehension and understanding of the sound.
There are no feelings on it. Just cerebral binaural waves.

Greetings, earthlings (groan!). This is my first Music Cafe Contest participation, let me know if everything is in order. [Edit: fixed the file name]

40 Light Years Away

http://soundcloud.com/adagiocm/1207_adagiocm_40lightyearsawa y

The aliens are on a planet 40 light-years away. They imitate and transmit back the first song they hear by radio from earth, which was broadcast in 1932, including all the imperfections of AM radio. Then they showcase a song of their own.

Whilst scanning the radio recently I came across this warning message from the future. The alien seems to sing in an out of tune vocal style not dissimilar to my own Very Happy

Well, I guess this was composed and performed for a different kind of ears, so it don't sounds like earthly music... HiHi
Anyway the laws of physics doesn't change, so there are similar sounds and vibrations in a totally different context and fashion
Enjoy

A short transmission was received from one of the Super Earths discovered lately

Now it must be noted that due to its triple gravity compared to ours, the inhabitants have deep voices, and it takes a long time to strumn a guitar until they get it up sort of speakeasy Razz ....

Also, as I've written elsewhere: Its been postulated that the simple self (yeah, our lizard brain) at the very foundation or bottom of the mind is a lot like music, but not yet poetry.
.... So, any alien personality coming thru in the form of a "signal" would not really have lyrics, although could have linguistic sounding events, and would tend to resemble music, but not follow our forms.

So with no more tiresome blog I bring you, from space:
important:Do Not use a Download Manager....do a >> save target as... etc....OR left-click and get a popsicle

___>__>_______SUPER EARTH 9

Resistance is futile abused Cubase 6.5 with my Strat and Bass guitars bled thru Guitar Rig 5, and the voices were from Padshop (Steiny stuff)

EARTHLING
lyrics and music by forw

Earthling
You only have two eyes
Earthling
You only have one brain
Earthling
You've got only ten little fingers
(but)
Earthling
You look fine

(A)
Earthling
We could rule the universe
Earthling
Together we are strong
Earthling
Come on let us be friends
Earthling
And destroy the rest
Earthling
We have laser space ships
Earthling
We could have so much fun
Earthling
Oh, we could have so much fun
Earthling
Oh, so much fun

(B)
What's your secret to tapdancing so good?
Tell us

(repeat A and B)

When I read this challenge, I gave some thought to what would be involved for this to be possible. I came up with the following scenario.

It starts with a highly-organized radiation source being discovered in the asteroid belt. Further investigation identifies this source as being a micro-wormhole. The radiation shows a repeating pattern, specifically the first one hundred numbers of the Fibonacci series. In response, we send a probe to rendezvous with the wormhole and send a signal through it. Over several weeks, scientists and linguists piece together enough of a common language that a dialogue with the species on the other side on the wormhole is established.

This is what we learn about our counterparts. In most ways, they are very similar to us. This is not surprising since substantial similarity would be necessary to establish communication. They inhabit an Earth-like planet on the other side of the galaxy. They are at a roughly equivalent point in their evolution having traced a path not unlike our own. Where they differ is when we left the caves we abandoned them. When they left and built communities, they maintained their ties with the caves and their planet. Their geology was such that very large caverns are a common feature. These huge caverns are used as auditoriums, churches, etc. Each one is different so a piece of music is a different experience depending on where it is performed. Some pieces are composed specifically for certain venues using the unique characteristics of the venue as an integral part of the piece.

The piece I have submitted was written for a cavern known as l'An-d'Eru. The name of the piece is The Winds of l'An-d'Eru. It uses the reverberant characteristics of the chamber to shape its sound and composition.
