I really like what I have, which is way more than I feel like listing, but I'm going to be trying out the demo version of Arturia's Moog Modular V in just a bit here.

Happy with all my software (Sonar, Trash, Reaktor, Alchemy, FM8, Garritan libraries, and Jamstix). Don't "need" anything else to make music, just things to simplify how I work.

I'm pretty happy with my hardware too. I need a good, small, bass amp. Other than that, I just want a better audio interface, and a Kemper profiling amp. But I can get by with what I have now--I just need to use it more Wink

I wouldn't mind having a backup Forshage custom ergonomic hollowbody guitar either.

I am still a bit new at this, so I seem to be buying new stuff a little more regularly than I would like. But I really love my current collection and am really enjoying exploring them.
Only regret was spending the extra money on the Live 'suite' upgrade rather than putting that money into VST plugins. Also slowly falling in love with FL Studio and drifting away from Live.

I was sold on one but after re-thinking it, not sure.

Here's the thing--I know I don't need one. I'm actually quite happy with my current amp. It would be a fun, albeit expensive, toy for me, as I can truly get by on what I have now.

So, what made you re-think it? You seemed to be in a froth about it for a while. Heck, you were one of the guys who brought it to my attention as something I may seriously want to get someday.

The only plug-in I'm missing is TimeMachine, which creates more time through additive synthesis...

For instruments, I'm pretty happy with what I have. I use the EWQL composers collection for "real" instruments, and then I use Alchemy, Diva, Zebra, and z3ta+ for other things (some Bazille in there too, but it obviously isn't released yet, so I can't really include it in my list).

I'm always demoing new instruments, but since I got what I have above, nothing has made me want to the pull the trigger on a new purchase. Most synthesizers just have way too much overlap in functionality/sound for me to justify buying anything. I've been keeping an eye on Xils-lab as I like their sound, but I haven't seen the "right" instrument yet (synthix comes close--love the voice management). And I half wouldn't mind something from Waldorf, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much when the impression I get from KVR/gearslutz murmuring is that company is unresponsive, slow to act, and seemingly always in financial trouble.

For effects, I'm keeping more of an eye out for things, and I have to demo more since I'm now pretty satisfied regarding instruments. I'm really happy with Aether and easyVerb for reverb, as well as VOS effects in general. But I would like to maybe pick up a really good effects bundle/unique effect at some point (but it would have to beat out VOS pretty handily to make me spend, as well as provide unique functionality).

But overall, I'm satisfied, but keeping an eye out for anything really unique.

I was content. Have a nice assortment of Analog and VA (hardware and software). Lately I've been on a digital thing... am thinking I'd like to get something digital & hardware (besides my Blofeld). Have also been contemplating doing something DIY... the new Mutable Instruments polysynth might meet that requirement. A little afraid of getting into the DIY though. Pretty sure I have the skills to do it I'm just afraid of what a money sink it can become.

I definitely need a better soundcard. I only have my motherboard's built-in card. I also need audio monitors (not that Kaylee would allow me to use them!) and two video monitors (mine is getting old and cuts out from time to time).

I'm happy with my CPU, though I'm still lusting after the FX 8150, and I'd also like to upgrade to 32GB of memory and a couple of SSDs.

Yes, she's my little beauty. Smile

She HATES when ANY sound comes out of my computer and ends up slinking around the house, looking into our bedroom which is behind the wall that my computer is on, and generally freaking out with a poofy tail and an arched back.

That's why I almost always listen to anything in my headphones. Confused

She's okay with sound coming out of Mark's computer. D'oh!
