Hi there,
I get this problem occasionally, and I don't know what causes it. Basically I get a lot of 'clicking' in my synth. I don't know how to get rid of it, I've got attack set to a very low amount, but not zero. It seems to be worse the lower the cut-off is set. For example, this synth: [edit]removed link to camel audio preset[/edit] What's causing the clicking and how can I get rid of it without drastically changing the synth sound? Also, another issue, sometimes if I stop playback before Alchemy is told to 'stop' the current note by the MIDI, it'll play endlessly. It seems to be related to the Sustain in AHDSR. It's really annoying. It happens in this synth: [edit]removed link to camel audio preset[/edit] If you prepare a MIDI with one long note (a few bars), start playing and stop before it reaches the end of that note, it'll just keep playing forever. You then have to go into the piano roll, and make a short note, play that back and allow Alchemy to receive the 'off' from the MIDI to make it stop playing. In case these issues aren't reproducable on your systems, I'm using Alchemy v1.25.0, which I bought earlier this year. I'm using it as a VST in Sonar 8.3 on Windows 7 64bit. Thanks for your help. |

[ http://www.camelaudio.com/faqs/Alchemy/Why_do_the_presets_Ive_installed_display_the_key_file_authorisation_error_message ] (Alchemy support) Oh shit, I think that's because the presets I uploaded use samples from the addon packs. I'll reupload versions that just use Alchemy standard. edit: this shouldn't happen to the first preset? That's just basic Alchemy, no addons. I've reuploaded the second preset to use just basic Alchemy, same URL in the OP. AUTO-ADMIN: Non-MP3 links have been disabled in this post automatically. Hi,
You are welcome to email the problem preset to support [at] camelaudio [dot] com and we'll check it out. The problem with Sonar not processing note off properly is a known bug in Alchemy and Sonar. Cakewalk have fixed this in the X1d update, and we have fixed it in the 1.30 update to Alchemy which is beta testing now. There is a workaround, but if you contact support we can provide some info about that. I'll remove the link to the preset from your first post, because it shouldn't really be posted in public. Peace, Andy. |

Peace, Andy. I fixed the first problem, I just had 'TRIGGER' on the AHDSR unpressed. Easy fix. Glad to hear the problem is fixed in 1.30, I'm looking forward to that. Why should the presets not be posted in public? They were made from scratch - not presets that came with the program. |

Thanks for letting us know it's fixed.

Sorry about that - uploading custom presets is OK of course! I read KungKrille's post (key file error) + the first few lines of your 2nd message and thought you had uploaded one of our presets so deleted the link. Peace, Andy. |
