Just curious as to what Zebra 3 will feature. Im really hoping for DIVA modules!

Anyone here want to add what they might know so far?

Im certain they will be good if you say so! Very Happy

I was wondering too, if the limit of 4 OSC per voice will be increased to something higher? And will the FM Oscillators also get increased too?

Right now Im really trying to decide whether or not to buy Zebra or Uhbik next. So far Zebra is looking more and more interesting.

Please make a "Clippy" -like MS Works wizard widget character in the form of Howie (..And make him look like the genius on the Zebra Science cover art) who will pop up at intelligent intervals and inquire in bubble-speak if you should require a helping-hand with the patch you're working on. (for example, "You are about to modulate that control in the wrong direction for the effect you wish to achieve.") And please make it to have options where we can change hair, hair colour and t-shirt...And please make it speak! It MUST speak!

I wouldn't mind some new osc fx, the ability to have the whole plugin window for oscillator editing, and more factory wavetables for when I don't want to draw my own.

New filters would just be gravy.

The real cream of the crop would be if the current oscillators and the fm oscillators could somehow be merged so I could use osc fx on the same oscillator I am fming, but my understanding is that the band limiting on the default oscs prevents them from being fmed.

I think it would be more fun if Virtual Howard looked up at you from under his glasses sternly and said, "This sound you are making is...not good. I want you to know this." Very Happy

PS: Any chance of an analog modelled wavefolder?

I've been waiting for a good analog modelled multi-stage wavefolder to appear in the VST world for a LONG time!

Yeah, a waveshaper module which can import osc presets would be amazing Love

Cheers

I'd love that too, but I'm pretty sure has said that will never happen.

I hope the diva-like filters are filter types within the XMFs rather than new separate filter modules. There are already so many filter modules. And it would make sense, since they have filter fm too.

Honestly the absolute biggest improvement for me would be new tools and views for oscillator editing in order to better access the obscene power Z2 already has more than anything else.

Maybe if the normal oscs will never be able to be carriers for FM, maybe it is time for the FM oscs to get a few preset waveforms in a drop down?

What about six FM osc's, in order to be able to fully reproduce DX7 sounds?

I firmly believe that normal Oscs will have FM inputs (DX-PhaseMod, exponential, linear FM). As will the FMOs, but latter might inherit some PD from Bazille and have a secondary audiorate mod input. Maybe.

(no need for 6 FMOs in this scenario)
