What MIDI features would you like to see added in Reaper? |

The possibility to assign MIDI CCs by typing, without using MIDI Learn option, it can be a nightmare try to assign a specific MIDI CC from a XYZ pad to a VST parameter.
I have been requesting this feature for ages. ---- < Bill Bruford on King Crimson: This is a band where you get to play in weird time signatures and still stay in nice hotels > |

My favorite is when this gets brought up over at reaper and people chime in with all kinds of interesting answers. My fav? "I don't use midi so why would the devs need to work on it"
No, seriously, and not just one person either |

You can lasso select, just use the rightclick ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() |

To me.. Notation is a big add on for MIDI. for people who use Notation. Huge.
Here from 2010 on version 3 http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=613 "We do plan to implement a notation view, and it will be somewhere on the scale between simple and complex" I am really hoping for this in version 5. |

Oh you want a freeform select? That's not what I thought you meant - not seen such a thing before. You can turn off the snap to grid for lasso select but yes it's still rectangular. I can't see how it would be done to make it irregular in shape - any video of it in action in FL?
You can keep adding to the selection though to make it irregular (by holding command) ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() |
